  • Q. Do you support other operating systems?

    It is very much our plan to support MacOSX and Linux and have builds of these ready; however at the moment we do not have the test environment to ensure the releases are at least ready for a public beta. We are hoping to have builds ready within a few weeks of the Windows build.

  • Q. How does it work?

    AlerterCake sits in your desktop and polls the Cake servers to see if there are any outstanding messages – if a message is outstanding then it will pull it from the server and send a notification to your desktop. The system has been designed to have a low footprint and as we move out of the beta we hope to improve the resource usage even more.

  • Q. How do I ensure I get StatusCake Alerts?

    Using AlerterCake with StatusCake is easy - just log in to your control panel and amend your contact group to have the AlerterCake functionality enabled (simple tick box). Once you've done this you'll get notifications when your site goes down. Simple!
